Especially on the low-stake online poker tables, most of these players are not aiming to make maximum profit. They play for a bit of a laugh and love it when they win the odd pot. You will see that their ‘online poker strategy’ is to be involved in almost every poker hand as they can’t sit back and watch without being involved in the pot.

So the best online poker strategy you can have is to literally sit back and wait until you have the best poker hand. The other players will never even notice that this is your online poker strategy because they are often doing other things at the same time as being online. They may be surfing the net, eating, watching tv, finishing that essay…! Don’t get involved in their silly online poker strategy, frittering away chips just to be involved in all the action.

When you raise, be prepared to be very aggressive and even more prepared to risk your entire stack on the hand.
