Poker Chips Continue To Flow at the WSOP!
22 June 2008
Our WPT Poker Chips & Poker Tables suddenly become popular at this time of year whilst the World Series of Poker is being played across the Atlantic.
Event 29 is the No-Limit Hold’em with a $3000 buy-in and it started last week on June 17th. In total, eighty-one poker players rocked up and bought their poker chips for a seat at one of the poker tables, of which seventy-two places were paying positions! It did not take long at all to get to the money stage with people dropping like flies in the first few hands. Notably, Roberto Romanelo ended in 73rd place and had to go home empty handed having lost his entire poker chip stack.
This poker tournament became increasingly dominated by the poker chip talents of Beth and Dan Shak who are both husband and wife. They battled it out and between them took many of the early players’ poker chips before Dan went out in 70th position, with a prize of $5500!
Beth then went on gambling with her poker chips and lasted yet another twenty places, finishing eventually in 52nd place with a prize of $6700. Other recognisable poker players who were flicking their poker chips in this event were Barry Boatman, Amir Vahedi, Eric Rizen and Kristy Gazes. It was a great event to watch with a brilliant combination of players from WSOP seasoned professionals, internet poker players and amateur poker gamers.
